Course Overview:
Operating in low-light and no-light environments introduces challenges that extend beyond the limitations of natural vision. Reduced visual information, altered depth perception, restricted fields of view, and increased cognitive demands can significantly affect an individual's ability to assess, decide, and act.
Beyond the Threshold's NVG / CQB course builds upon our foundational close-quarters decision-making principles, applying them to environments where visibility, information, and time are limited.
Students will examine how night vision equipment, artificial lighting, environmental conditions, and confined geometry influence situational awareness, movement, communication, and decision-making.
Through structured instruction, practical exercises, and scenario-based problem-solving, participants will develop a greater understanding of how to manage uncertainty, recognize limitations, assess risk, and make deliberate decisions under reduced visibility.
